Senior Java Developer

In this role you will help our organization grow and expand our international reach, your contribution will be to develop services-based solutions to increase scalability for our core business system.Our current platform is database driven and your daily work will be to write Java Backend services that migrate the platform into a service-based architecture. Along with that you will have a central part in the project to create, maintain and integrate a business-critical system globally, for all current and future markets within the organization.Our current stack of technologies includes Spring Framework, Bootstrap, Sybase, MySQL. microservices, REST API, Dockers, Ansible, Kubernetes, etc.We focus on knowledge sharing and developing our talents, thereby we provide you with a quick feedback loop where you will be aware of the services and systems functionalities, along with how the organization appreciates it.The team is characterized by an open and creative environment with efficient work methods. In total the team consists of 25 people, that are divided into smaller scrum teams who work close by each other in the projects. The position is based in Linköping, like most of the team members. As we have our other development site in Malmö there will be some traveling to Malmö expected in the role.What you bringWe think you have previous experience in Java and associated tools such as Maven and/or Application servers. As a developer, you are tech-savvy and have experience in the backend field where you have both been working with legacy systems as well as creating new platforms and services.If you have experience with scalability or microservices that is highly appreciated and if you previously worked with databases such as MySQL, Sybase/MSSQL.As a person, we believe you are independent, with the ability to investigate and assess technology, patterns as well as make recommendations about solutions.
