Senior Backend Engineer

The growing Voi Technology team is in the process of making cities free from pollution and noise. To make this happen we believe in making light, electrical vehicles more accessible for the people. Today we have a sharing service were the users access the vehicles via a phone application and ride to wherever they need to be, leaving it for the next user to enjoy.

We are looking for senior backend developers to join the Voi family. For us, seniority doesn’t mean just some numbers on a piece of paper, instead we’re looking for you that not only feel confident in building backend systems but also with a mature mindset. You’re a critical thinker, who thinks about what impact your code will have. You’re not claiming that your code rules them all - instead you’re always looking for constructive feedback to deliver the best possible product. Last but not least, you’re a team player that finds motivation in lifting up and teaching those around you.

THE POSITION

- Building and designing REST and gRPC APIs
- Working closely with various business partners
- Architecture design
- Large scale data processing to understand user behaviour and help define new product features
- Developing scalable, performant, andreliable systems
- Build fully automated processes for handling and maintaining our fleet

QUALIFICATIONS

- At least 5+ years experience in backend engineering
- Experience in cloud environment
- Experience in Linux
- Experience in Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with microservice architecture
- Architectural thinking
- Understanding of distributed systems and service oriented architecture
- Great problem solvers: ability to deal with technical challenges as they come
- Independent and self reliant

NICE TO HAVE

- Experience in Golang
- Experience in Google Cloud Platform
- Experience in Micro mobility
