Embedded Test Software Developer

Job description
Working with us, you will help customers realizing their ideas into products ready for the consumer market. We need to understand visions and ideas expressed by persons with many different backgrounds. We turn the ideas into technical solutions and develop them together with robust production test and validation systems. We design the systems by choosing existing components and designing new ones depending on needs and cost efficiency.
As Embedded Test Software (ETS) developer you design, code and integrate the software used as interface between the test methods (executed in Windows) and the device’s internal drivers (for example Android OS). This means you will get deep device knowledge while tightly cooperating with the R&D team. You will also cooperate with the test developers that use your ETS to develop test methods to validate the product.
Our production test system solution contains software, hardware and instruments and we ship it to many different production sites all over the world. If you enjoy travelling, this job will offer great opportunities to see the world!

Role and Responsibility

Work in a team to develop the ETS
Take responsibility for implementing and validating the ETS
Cooperate with our R&D specialists
Cooperate with the test developers and hardware developers at production technology to ensure a robust and effective implementation
Design blocks and sub-systems, considering inputs like system architecture, HW specifications, chosen platform, use cases, standards and communication protocols.
Program in C and C++
Contribute in pre-studies and propose technical solutions in order to create the optimal production test solution

Requirements
We expect you to be skilled and have experience in:

Several years of experience in embedded software development
Embedded C/C++
Linux
Development tools like Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, Coverity

Preferably you also have experience in:

Android framework
Qualcomm chipsets

Additional skills in one or several of these areas are advantageous

Java
Device driver development
Real time operating systems
Connectivity standards like IP, Bluetooth, ZigBee, NFC, LTE and Wi-Fi
Power management
Audio software
Cameras and display software
Image analysis
Artificial Intelligence
Security
Measuring instruments like oscilloscope and logic analyzers
