Being a part of Connected Services here at Scania, our team develops services based on data from connected vehicles to pursue the Scania mission to become the leader in the shift towards a sustainable transport system. More specifically, our team develops API’s, exposed to the outer world, so that developers all around the world can interact with us and the data. We also run the developer.scania.com to ease the interaction.

In our team, we decide many things together. Whatever we build, we need to quality assure, deploy and of course run ourselves, meaning that we as a team have to take an end-to-end DevOps responsibility. We also work closely together with the business representatives in the organisation as we strive to increase the autonomy for the whole team.

The way we work within the team is of course inspired by an agile mindset, but we are free to choose the way we apply it in our team. Today the team consists of Product Owner, Scrum Master and a few developers – looking to extend it with more developers. This is where you come into the picture!

Our team is in many ways free to decide on our own technology stack and designs, even though we try to utilise best practices within the organisation as much as possible. If you consider joining the team, previous experience with C#, .Net Core, Micro services, REST, Web API, JS framework (E.g. React, AngularJS), SQL/NoSQL, Docker, AWS if of course positive, but no requirement.

Our organisation, Connected Services and Solutions, consists of several other development teams, meaning that we work cross functional to ensure everything aligns and works together. The organisation as a whole, as well as our team, is multicultural, representing many various backgrounds. Regardless your background, you will fit in. Fluency in English is however a requirement since that is how we communicate.

If you are a curious Developer, that puts the customer first and enjoys teamwork, ready to learn with every new challenge – then you might just be the new team member we are looking for. If so, we are looking forward to your application.
