Network Specialist

We offer you a specialist role with a primary focus on performing in and managing projects within IT Operations Infrastructure. This is a chance to use your network skills to serve a highly successful enterprise with excellent IT services and maintain the common IT-platform. This is a role for you who prefer to work with various tasks and projects within the network (mostly Cisco), Linux and open source domain. But most of all, this is a job for you who believe that having fun at work is crucial!As Network Specialist at Verisure Innovation you will be given an important role in our transformation to cloud and software defined networks. It’s a varied role where you will get to develop network infrastructure, gather requirements, as well as doing design, implementation and maintenance. We will put a lot of faith in you and your expertise and will trust you not only to find room for improvement in our way of working, but also to lead these improvement tasks and initiatives. You will also get to do development and maintenance of scripts and tools for automation and orchestration. 3rd line support for our network and firewall infrastructure are also areas within this role’s responsibility.Our teams operate with integrity and respect for one another fuelled by an entrepreneurial spirit. This experience should include IT security and firewalling, as well as Linux administration. It is valuable if you have knowledge in some scripting languages (preferably Python) and automation tools (preferably Ansible), together with basic knowledge of using GIT. You have a good understanding of routing/switching, network security functions (firewalls, VPN etc.) and routing protocols (BGP/OSP/EIGRP).We are an international company with offices and colleagues in multiple countries, therefore we are looking for someone who is fluent in English. To make decisions you gather comprehensive information and always have high standards for both quality and quantity in mind.
