We are now looking for a skilled leader who can build and develop our UX and Mobile Applications Team at New Business.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
You will run the day-to-day operations and making sure that we have the right competence and dedicated engineers by coaching them and run appraisal and development talks on a continuous basis. You will have the opportunity and responsibility to build and form your team and its working methods to meet future challenges.
You will work close to the business and product managers and will be heavily involved in discussions on product strategies and follow up on project progress. You need to have a well working collaboration with several Axis development teams, including the R&D team at our acquired company in Prague.
You will report to the R&D Director of New Business.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
You should have a strong interest in people and can motivate the people you work with, creating an open and innovative work environment. Apart from this we believe you have a strong personal drive, enjoy teamwork and are a natural leader.
We believe you have a master’s degree in engineering and a professional background relevant for the team’s competence areas, UX design and mobile application development.
New Business is in a very expansive phase and your ability to secure a productive environment and in parallel set a long-term strategy for the team will be crucial for our success.
THE UX AND MOBILE APPLICATION TEAM
The main focus for this team is UX design and Mobile application development for New Business all product areas.
One half of the team members are UX designers, responsible for all kind of UX activities at New Business. The designers are essential in the product and solution development collaborating with Product Managers and R&D development. They also have an important role when it comes to build market and customer knowledge within New Business.
The second half of the team members are mobile applications developers. They are responsible for all Android and iOS applications at New Business. The team is responsible for all phases of our mobile application development; architecture, implementation, maintenance and trouble shooting. The developers work close to the Mobile Application team for Video Applications.
OUR NEW BUSINESS DEPARTMENT
New Business is an organization within AXIS with teams mainly in Lund, Sweden and Prague, Czech Republic. We are responsible for evaluating new business ideas and M&A opportunities from a technical and a commercial perspective. We develop a number of innovative product lines outside Axis network video, to offer our customers the best products, solutions and services on the market. The team has market oriented product and solutions resources, product development resources and a M&A team. The ambition is to leverage on Axis existing expertise and capacity which build on a flexible and open co-operation with other departments.
