Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Are you passionate about electronics design?

Do you want to develop hardware for Hardware In the Loop (HIL) test rigs?

Do you want to work with the big picture, but still dive down into the details?

Then you are the person we are looking for at the System Automation Environment group. We are responsible for developing and maintaining HIL – rig systems (Hardware In the Loop). In order to be able to test the vehicle’s software in the rig, we use one of the world’s largest HIL systems that supports a large number of truck and bus configurations. The purpose of HIL is to trick the system and its component parts into believing it is executing in a real vehicle with all its dynamics. This is achieved using real-time execution of environmental models.

Your task

In the team one of your tasks is to develop electronics and make drawings for PCB´s. Another task is to design solutions for integration of new electrical control units in the rig and make schematics. You work in close contact with electrical technicians that will build rigs using the information from your schematics. To be able to communicate with the hardware you will also develop the software closest to the designed hardware. Test of the designed HW and SW are also one task.

In the group we are responsible that the test environment are updated with new technology to support coming projects for example for electrification and autonomous vehicles. Another of your tasks is to further develop the HIL concept into a modular platform that can support Scania’s functional growth.

With us, innovation is important, and we work with continuous improvements. You will already from the start be able to adopt and shape the group’s working methods.

Your profile
You are a person with good communication skills and a positive attitude, who likes to drive things forward together with others. You are capable to work in a structured and analytical way and to handle many different questions simultaneously.

You have a university degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.

You have experience of working in the tool Eagle.

You have experience of back end software development using C, C++.

You have at least a couple of years’ experience of HW design. Experience of HW design for HIL-rig used in the automotive industry is a merit.

Experience of Embedded system development is a merit.

You are fluent in English both written and spoken.

Speaking Swedish is a merit.

A requirement is a class B driving licence.

Application

Your application includes a CV and cover letter. We handle applications ongoing.
