Software Configuration Manager

To Getinge Infection Control´s R&D center in Göteborg, we are now recruiting a Software Configuration Manager.

As an experienced Software Configuration Manager you will be given the task to setup and mange a world class build and release process. We are a tight, dedicated and very experienced team that is developing the next generation embedded controllers for our medical devices.

The position
The purpose of the role is to improve and manage the build process and build environment (machines, scripts and tool chain). You will be responsible for defining the daily build and other forms of builds as well as producing the release including release notes. The position represents a central and crucial function in our organization and involves interaction with many different important stakeholders.

Among your main responsibilities and tasks will be:
• Setting up the build process
• Managing the build environment (machines, scripts and tool chain)
• Defining the Daily Build and other forms of builds
• Tracking and moving software issues to labels and releases
• Gate-keeper for check-ins to the build
• Releasing the Build to Development and Test
• Following the release process and producing required documentation
• Publishing the build results and the project status and burn-down
• Tracking all tool and software dependencies
• Archiving the build environment together with the product archive
• Restoration tests on the archive
• Branch generation and tagging/labeling the branches and builds
• Work with the IT department to define the build and archiving and distribution environment for the distributed team
• Select and script the build tools, reporting and distribution tools

Over day travel is expected on a weekly basis. International travel is estimated to once or twice per year.

The ideal candidate
As ideal for the position you have at least five years of experience of build, configuration, change- and release management . Experience of med-tech industry is an advantage. Further, some of your required key characteristics include:

• MSc or BSc in Computer Science
• Demonstrated experience in Build Management
• Ability to present and discuss different build types
• Familiarity with scripting tools in a Windows environment
• Familiarity with different source code and issue tracking systems
• Experience running builds with Windows as the base environment
• Experience in branch design, labeling and tracking issues
• Fluency in English in written and oral

Meritorious skills are:
• Building embedded software (non-windows targets)
• Experience with JIRA and SVN
• Experience with Windows virtual machines and OneDrive
• Experience with B&R Automation Studio
• Experience with OMT and Doors products
• Knowledge of Swedish
