Who we are
Volvo Cars Consumer Digital OWN is a Digital Development department within Volvo Cars that drives the development of Volvo Cars' Connected Car solution. We are responsible for the cloud platform and services that provide telematics and infotainment services to the connected Volvo cars, such as the well-known Volvo On Call, Sensus, and Active Safety features. The development is done in a human-centric mindset using Agile/DevOps practices.

What we offer
Volvo Cars Consumer Digital will grow its Digital Development capabilities to support new cloud functions needed for Autonomous Drive, Electrical Propulsion and many Customer-facing digital products. Additionally, the continuous growth of the number of connected cars and the increased focus on Security and Privacy brings new demands to the cloud platform. The development and operation are performed in close collaboration with both our internal design departments and external suppliers in a dynamic and international environment.

What you´ll do
The developer is together with her/his colleagues in her/his team providing stepwise (business) value to the larger solutions/systems (via the Agile Release Train - ART).

* We pick stories from our team backlog based on prioritization from our PO
* We collaborate with our PO to ensure the right functionality is being developed
* We estimate the size and complexity of the work to be able to plan upcoming sprints
* We determine and maintain the technical design in our area within the given architectural guidelines
* We commit to the work we plan to accomplish in the upcoming sprint and take needed action to succeed
* We are accountable for fulfilling our Definition of Done
* We define, build, test and deploy the functionality to relevant product maturity levels
* We support and/or build the automation necessary to build the continuous delivery machine
* We use Scrum and/or Kanban methodology for our team efficiency
* We communicate and collaborate with all relevant stakeholders to take fast decisions that support our committed plan
* We visualize our plans, progress, and results to be transparent
* We always find ways to learn and continuously improve

Do you fit the profile?
In order for you to fully enjoy this job, we believe that you are a technically competent and interested person with good communication skills. You embrace the needed teamwork with the solution and product managers. Experience from working in or with a vehicle program is a clear advantage to succeed in this role but if that is not the case, we will help you to succeed if you have the right mindset. We also want to see that you have recent experience from working with System Engineering or similar.
We see that you have a BSc degree or higher in engineering, or equivalent experience and you are a master in the English language both spoken and written.

Primary Skills Required:
• More than 5 years of experience as a System Designer
• Experience in Product Management, Product Development, Requirements Analysis, Delivering System Solutions
• Experience and understanding in development methodology principles (e.g. SAFe, Scrum, Lean, Kanban)
• Experience with relevant version control, build & deploy tooling – Git, TeamCity, OctopusDeploy, SonarQube
• Experience with relevant products – Catalog, Order Manager, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Mediation Zone
• Integration technologies. SOAP Web Services, REST API, Micro Services, Messaging Queue, SFTP
• Information modeling and architecture
• Experience with test-driven development and test automation
