What do we offer?
Human-Centric Lab is part of the department Customer Experience Centre within Research & Development at Volvo Cars and is responsible for increasing the focus on human-centric research and perspectives by realizing the Human-Centric Lab ideas; to combine physical and virtual product development and experimental research. The challenge consists of increasing the speed to reaching results and recommendations in the field of human factors development. Reflecting the expectations and needs of our future customers.
Are you passionate about both customers and human-centered behaviors and would like to have an impact of the future cars at Volvo? Would you like to join the development within the Human-Centric Lab, drive innovation and help contribute to breakthrough experiences for thousands of our end customers worldwide? We are now looking for a SeniorUnity Developer with a human-centric mind set to influence, collaborate and team up with our multi-disciplined teams. The position is based in Gothenburg, Sweden.

What you’ll do
At the HCLab your main task is to work, not only with all our internal stakeholders, but also our technology partners across the industry to create the software stack and solve fundamental Simulation, AR/VR and visualization challenges.
As a Senior Unity Developer, you will be a part of our core team with a focus on simulation, augmented and virtual reality, using Unity as a glue to close existing gaps in current toolchain and enable cross-departmental collaboration. You will also help define and handle a wide range of different touchpoints and plenty of unsolved implementation and engineering challenges.

• Fluent in English (written and spoken) and have a driver’s license (B)
 • 5+ years of experience in Unity 3D development

• Up to date with latest Unity’s tools and current practices.
• Degree in a relevant area (Computer Science, Mathematics) or equivalent expertise preferred
• Very strong programming skills implementing immersive simulation, AR/VR applications

If you also have the following skills, we consider it to be meritorious: 
• Prior experience with well-known AAA titles
• Experience with 3D modelling
• Strong knowledge in 3D Math, graphics, physics, animations
• A solid understanding of core Unity concepts including component creation, animators, shaders, and performance profiling
• Experience in implementing automated testing platforms and unit test
• Familiarity with level design and planning is a plus
