We are now looking for a student to take on the assignment:
Software development for gas turbine performance calculations.

The assignment:

The MGT (Medium Gas Turbines) Performance department is responsible for analysis and modelling of transient and steady-state performance of the MGT products. We are also the competence center for studies of new thermodynamic cycles. We are now looking for a new person to join our team as a master thesis student. The assignment is located in Finspång, Sweden.

The scope for this master thesis will be within program development and understanding future needs for our performance calculation tools. The thesis will mainly focus on developing a software infrastructure which allows quick and efficient use of the latest R&D results in all areas of the company. Some development of the MGT transient performance models is also included.

* You are eager to learn and find solutions.
* You are able to think outside the box and attack problems from different views.
* We encourage an open mind, transparency and diversity.
* You have good knowledge and interest in computer programming (Python and/or Modelica is a plus).
* You have an interest in thermodynamics and turbomachinery.
