With an international and fast growing team composed of 50 employees in Gothenburg, we are now looking to strengthen our team with an experienced data engineer.
What you will do at Bokio
Design, build out and manage high performance and secure analytics infrastructure and secure safe, easy access for product teams, business development and strategy development.
Concretely, this includes:
Designing analytics infrastructure and data transformations for performance with high workloads and large data volumes
Creating, maintaining and optimizing data pipelines to have the most up to date, clean customer, usage and revenue data with manageable load and cost
Ensure security and data protections are in place, as we’re dealing with a lot of sensitive information for our customers
Deploying and configuring self-service analytics tools for use by product teams (e.g., for metrics) and business analysis
Supporting teams in getting started with self-service tools, and act as a guide on data definitions, sources and meaning
Support and train rest of data team (data scientists and business analysts) in defining and extracting relevant data for their respective projects
Support CTO and tech leads in data related architecture decisions as the product evolves and scales
Over time build and lead our data engineering team, responsible for all data infrastructure for all markets

Who you are
We think you have at least 2 years experience either developing data heavy applications or building analytics infrastructure at scale
Very good theoretical grasp of database optimization, performance and data security, in particular for SQL Server.
Extensive experience with SQL (ideally SQL server), as well as Azure Data Factory and/or other data pipelining tools
Strong proficiency in at least one programming language for working with data where SQL falls short, e.g., Python or C#
A good understanding and practical experience with modelling relational databases for analytical purposes
Interested in processes and practices for safely working with sensitive data in a team environment
Developer experience and/or running your own company / freelance valuable
