Job description
As an IOT data scientist you will be a key person when it comes to creating business values from manufacturing data. The job includes designing and execution of analytics projects in co-operation with the different factories and clusters within SKF . On top of this drive the acceleration of analytics capabilities to increase data driven manufacturing in the factories. Together with the rest of the team, work with change management for friction less roll-out. All this in close collaboration with IT, IOT and MPD.

Job responsibilities

• Partner with domain experts in global project teams to identify project related questions, key metrics, and actionable insights.

• Develop predictive models and new algorithms that can be used in next-generation applications
• Analyze large data sets to develop new models and algorithms to drive innovative insights into various kind of data
• Ability to work with data in varying structures, ranging from traditional structured data and semi-structured data to unstructured data
• Development of analytical jobs for real-time and batch analysis and integrate them into a cloud native architecture

Job Requirements

• Good knowledge and experience in cloud systems, preferably AWS

• Experience with data mining, machine learning, statistical modeling tools and underlying algorithms.
• Experience in one or more statistical packages and applications, e.g. H2O, SciPy, Boto, Mahout, etc.

• Experience in Phyton, R and/or Scala
• Experience working with distributed systems, and understanding of technologies like Hadoop, Hive, Pig, Spark, or Storm

• Ability to work with data visualization tools or libraries, e.g. Notebooks, D3, Tableau, QlikView

• It´s a plus if you have experience with embedded systems
• Experience with AWS technologies, SQL, or NoSQL databases a plus.

Personal profile

• Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering or Statistics

• Broad technical understanding & hands on experience
• Innovative with a high level of self-drive and commitment
• Interest in manufacturing automation
• Good communication skills
• Fluent in English, both verbal and in writing
• Experience from working with customer relations is an advantage
• Good relationships skills
