Role description We are looking for an experienced Web Editor, who could drive the Sony and Sony Mobile Developer World websites (http://developer.sonymobile.com and http://developer.sony.com) together with the rest of the Developer Relations team. You are to take lead on creating content for the websites, and to drive the information architecture and user experience on these websites. It will be your responsibility to make sure the website content and functionality support the overall business goals, at the same time as you are to make sure the websites are on par with industry leading developer and technology oriented websites. We believe you are a creative yet structured person, who is also curious about new technologies, usability and the ever changing environment of the mobile industry. It is important that you have a great technical interest and knowledge in mobile phones. You also need to have a strong drive, and not to be afraid of seeking new knowledge yourself inside or outside the company. A big part of your time will be spent in preparing new services and sections of the websites for upcoming tools and SDKs. Deadlines are often tight, and you must be able to work at a high pace, and at the same time be able to make the right priorities. You should also have a clear user perspective, and always consider how the information is perceived outside-in. In this role, you are also in contact with many internal and external interfaces. It is therefore important that you are a communicative and social person who likes and put value these contacts. It's your responsibility to collect all website requirements from stakeholders, and match them against the opportunities you see in the development of the websites and the user experiences we could create. You need to make sure everything is relevant, functional, consequent, and updated with the latest information and tools. This requires you to be able to work both high and low in a structured way, embracing the various challenges with patience, a care for details and creativity.

Utbildning/Erfarenhet
You should also have a strong passion for creating content yourself, and most importantly texts and images. You will spend considerable time writing, editing and preparing content, such as technical documentation and blog posts, to be published at the websites. You need to have a solid interest and proven knowledge in writing and in external communication. We expect you to be fluent in written and spoken English (US and UK English). It's a strong merit if you have worked with both documentation and marketing before. A skilled writer, completely fluent in English (in both UK and US English). You should have a deep interest in text creation in different formats. Experienced in working with technical documentation, and editing it for an external target group. Experienced in content website management and information architecture. Previous experience from working with corporate websites is required. Experienced in working with branding and writing guidelines. Experienced in Google Analytics and Adobe Photoshop. Structured, and focused on both details as well as overall goals. Understanding underlying web-technologies and have substantial experience in working with Wordpress. Interested in, and have knowledge about, mobile phone technologies. Service minded, flexible, self going and with a drive to take responsibility. A team player that easily adapts and drives improvements in a positive way.
