Lead Data Scientist

HiQ is one of Sweden’s most innovative consulting firms having developed everything from Swish and self-driving vehicles, to making it possible to order food based on LEGO bricks! Now it’s time for us to scale up our Data Science initiative for real. We are therefore searching for an experienced Data Scientist that can lead the way forward and guide our talented and driven colleagues within Data Science.
As a consultant at HiQ, you will have the opportunity to help improve how our clients handle and use their data to its fullest potential. Within AI, our consultants are working with exciting projects using Deep Learning and Machine Learning. For example, we have built an anomaly detection model that extracts insights from Swedish healthcare, we have built an optimization algorithm for geographic routing of travel and we have done a range of other cool stuff with images and sound.
More specifically, we are looking for you, who have been involved in delivering numerous successful Data Science projects and have experience of all steps in a Data Science project. You are comfortable taking things from the concept level to hands on scripting and putting models into production. We believe that previous leadership experience is necessary, to be able to help our junior colleagues with everything from basic analysis and model building to successfully implementing systems onsite with the customer.

Aside from the fact you have a Data Science related university degree, we also believe that you have:
5+ years of experience practicing as a Data Scientist
a great proficiency in Data Science languages such as Python and/or R and SQL
experience with cloud environments
previous experience leading Data Scientists
extensive experience working with other Data Scientists, Data Engineers, product managers and designers in a project environment
experience of pitching your cases to customers
