QA Test Engineer

Nasdaq Technology is looking for a QA Test Specialist to join the TRADExpress RealTime Clearing team. RealTime Clearing helps clearinghouses meet the ever-increasing demands of the post-trade value chain with integrated position keeping, real-time risk and collateral management, as well as settlement, across markets. This is an opportunity to work within a highly skilled and experienced team to deliver our product to a major clearinghouse in the US. This role will require effective communication, team collaboration and in depth knowledge of test automation and manual testing. We are looking for someone who is dedicated to ensuring the quality of our product and delivering client success.

We are working with an interesting and complex product with challenging quality requirements. You will join a highly qualified cross-functional scrum team consisting of Business Analysts, Software Developers, Test Engineers, and Project Managers. You will work in close cooperation with our customer and this role will support them in early customer testing and acceptance testing.

Responsibilities:

* Create, execute and maintain tests according to test scripts and test plans
* Review system requirements and business processes; codes, tests, and debug software solutions
* Create test data files with valid and invalid records to thoroughly test program logic and verify system flow
* Report issues found back to development teams
* Participate in workshops with the customer
* Resolve problems and ensure that software meets specified standards, development specifications and client requirements
* Plan test scenarios to ensure that applicable tests are successfully completed and documented and there is a plan for problem resolution

Education, Professional accomplishments, and Certifications:

* Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline, or equivalent work experience
* Experience within QA testing or software development

Skills and Requirements:

* Knowledge in agile test approaches and the software development life cycle
* Ability to create and contribute to documenting test strategy, test plan and test cases
* Experience creating defect reports and documenting test results
* Strong knowledge of Java and tools such as JIRA, Eclipse, Jenkins and GIT
* Experience supporting and interacting directly with clients
* Experience from the financial industry
* Good knowledge about Derivatives Clearing functionalities is meriting
