The organization RAN Incubator within Development Unit Networks aims to work close to our customers, incubate new ideas into products in tight collaboration with technology research organizations. We challenge established flows with new methodologies and are active in open source communities. At Ericsson we are team players. The team is responsible and needs to have the required knowledge to drive the software products from start to finish.

We are hiring a senior software engineer that are enthusiastic about data and edge cloud backend systems to focus on building the next-generation data-driven telecom applications.

What you’ll do:

Explore novel ways of producing operational data, automate its processing and analysis to produce insights onto systems that scale to tens of millions of subscriptions
Solve problems by applying advanced Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies, including implementing and operationalizing the solution
Work on state-of-the-art service and network orchestration as well as data processing frameworks, technologies, and platforms
Work in a multi-functional agile team with end-to-end responsibility for feature development and delivery
Start by building proofs of concept and scale them to thousands of instances
Work with other software developers, data scientists, and decision-makers, such as product owners and architects, to build solutions and gain novel insights.

You enjoy exploring technical problem solving in creative ways and understand responsible experimentation
You are truly passionate about creating clean code and have a solid foundation on training machine learning models and deploying them in production
You enjoy learning new technologies, move between different software stacks and helping others along the same journey

You have a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or equivalent discipline, or the equivalent level of knowledge. We assume that you can speak and write in fluent English.

You need to have demonstratable hands-on experience in some of the following technologies:

Programming languages: Java (Spring Boot, reactive programming), Python, Go
Cloud platforms: Kubernetes, Docker, CNCF projects
Data engineering: Kafka, Kafka Streams, Flink, Beam, ZeroMQ, RabbitMQ, Kubeflow, NiFi
Databases such as Cassandra, InfluxDB or PostgreSQL
ML and AI frameworks: Tensorflow, ScikitLearn but also AutoML and similar tools
Modelling languages such as YANG and TOSCA
