Job Description
The IoT Architect works throughout engagements both within the product/system development teams directly and across functions including business development, creative/design, strategy, across IKEA of Sweden. 
This position offers the unique opportunity to design, develop and apply your cutting-edge knowledge of application/solution designing and development related methods and tools to create results and insights that will accelerate the transformation of our business model.
Key Responsibilities
- Close collaboration with various business partners, eco-partners, vendors and fellow architects to provide a holistic platform architecture;
- Must be well versed with different approaches to application and solution architectures and should be able to architect an “easy-to-deploy” scalable solution; 
- Lead the overall architecture implementation effort by designing robust solution and enhance business value to end customers; 
- Drive overall context, explore and evaluate process from technical point for Digital Solutions, will be responsible for providing end to end integrated solution; 
- Defining and documenting the structure for Home Smart Platform and components, their inter-relationships, and the principles/guidelines governing their design and evolution over time; 
- Coordinate all design and service creation activities within Digital Programs; 
- Develops together with Development leader, Digital solutions strategies for assigned areas with a medium term 2-3 year sight line; 
- Act as the technical expert voice of Home Technology and Platforms to the Home Smart team helping them understand the key technical considerations of their solution;
- Can communicate a clear PoV regarding their approach to architecture design and deliverables;
- Working together with the technical IT security team and product development teams to ensure that appropriate security measures are implemented in all of product and feature development.
Qualifications
For this role we see that you have:
University level Education (MSc, MEng); Engineering or a Masters in Computer Science or related field. 
7+ years of experience in complex architectures, designing and building scalable applications in an international environment. 
Industry experience developing and delivering highly available, highly scalable solutions.
A strong understanding of the complete (end to end) technology stack and information model.
Strong experience of API design standards, patterns, best-practices and development.
Expertise of Architecting, Designing and Implementing Distributed solutions and good to have exposure of - data platform, Machine Learning & Deep Learning. 
Exposure to S/W Designing and Development using cloud services (AWS).
Experience with Agile Project Management and agile methodologies and knowledge of DevOps.; a good team player, balanced with the autonomy and motivation to produce individually. 
Data science specific; Python coding, Data Visualization, Machine Learning.
