Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

At Scania R&D, within the Connectivity, we work with the future's sustainable transport system and the connected vehicle. Our responsibility is to ensure that data from the vehicles can be used by the various connected services, to generate as much customer value as possible. You get a key role in shaping tomorrow's connected transport system.

Our group are working with the applications in the telematic units in the truck as well as back-end for IOT applications, we gather sensor, GPS data and other vehicle operation data. The data is cleaned and enriched before sending it to other teams in Scania for end user applications such as fleet monitoring systems and analytic tools. We have really exiting journey in front of us developing methods and tools for the growing IOT business. Around the corner, prediction and simulation will come and this role will be a key player forming this.

Your work assignment

You will work with big amount of data and a rolling fleet of half a million connected vehicles, facilitate vehicle parameters in our connectivity products. You will work with tasks such as understanding our data and set the quality using methods like signal processing, statistical analysis and also do system development. Examples of tasks are quality assurance, develop algorithms for production system and predicting the future.

We are looking for a candidate with following experience:

• Experience or interests in Signal processing
• Experience in using statistical data to analyze
• Experience from connected vehicles and vehicle communication is meritorious.
• Competence in Python
• Competence in cloud technology such as AWS

Your Profile

As a person, you have a curious nature and enjoy to dig into parameters and measurements. You have a strong feeling for quality and improving this is important to you.

You are a team player that likes to share your knowledge and work in agile teams.  You are communicative & goal-oriented.  

You have an academic education at university level in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent work experience. You communicate fluently in English in both speech and writing.
