This means not only to continue to build state of the art premium cars, but to rethink the entire experience around having a car. Care by Volvo is a ground-breaking subscription service we are developing to give people more freedom to do the things they love.

As Senior Risk Analyst, you will be part of the Credit Risk team at Care by Volvo. We focus on managing credit and fraud risks with our product. When a customer applies we look at thousands of data points to evaluate both the solvency and identity of the applicant, and we do that in less than a second utilizing cutting-edge technology. Our goal is to build these capabilities in all markets for both private individuals and companies. To achieve this we need domain expertise in credit and fraud (on both B2B and B2C), a detailed understanding of the digital purchase experience, and analytical prowess to define the decision logic, backend processes, technical infrastructure, and data that enable customer value.

Our new team member will solve complex problems in a unique environment – blending the startup culture of Care by Volvo and the mature business of Volvo Cars – with a talented and motivated team. Care by Volvo is growing fast, and this role is a fantastic opportunity to work hands-on with initiatives and develop leadership skills defining what Care by Volvo should do to reach long term objectives. You will be based in Stockholm but as you will be collaborating with colleagues in different geographic locations, a certain amount of travel is expected.

What you will do
In this role, you will build credit and fraud strategies in new markets and continuously focus on optimizing existing ones – looking at key metrics such as approval rates, conversion rates, losses and data costs. When launching new markets, you will work with external data and technology providers to procure safe, scalable, and seamless solutions that optimize the checkout experience. You are also expected to review incoming applications and build world class operational capabilities and improve the monitoring and reporting stack. You will create collection strategies that serve customers with relevant and accurate information and which treats them fairly – optimizing not only for recoveries but also customer satisfaction. As you enter the team as experienced professional you will mentor analysts and build their expertise. You will define initiatives and the long-term roadmap with the team and take ownership of our most bold and difficult objectives.

You and your skills
We are looking for you who has more than 5 years of experience with credit and fraud risk in digital environment (ecommerce, online lending, payment processing etc). It is also meritorious if you have a University degree within a quantitative discipline (engineering, economics, data science or similar). Before applying for this role, you have previously built real-time decision logic in a cross functional team for B2C and/or B2B. You have also procured external data used in risk decisions across multiple markets (credit reference agencies, open banking solutions, identity data providers etc). You are experienced in data manipulation and extraction using SQL, Python, R etc. Any experience from an analytical role related to car financing or merchant lending is a major benefit. As we are global organization, you also need to have excellent communication and presentation skills in English (both verbal & written).

On a personal side, you are a good communicator who has a high ability to cooperate and work in cross-functional teams. You have sense of urgency and always focus on solutions that help customer.  You are detail oriented individual who seeks out details in data to identify the root causes. Last but not the least you take accountability, both for their own direct area of responsibility, and the success of the team.
