Joint Academy is a healthcare company devoted to improve the wellbeing of people affected by osteoarthritis. We have created the first digital treatment for this chronic disease, and as the number of patients getting help through our program is constantly growing worldwide we are now reaching out to more talented people to be part of our journey.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
We are seeking a Backend Engineer with passion for crafting outstanding online services. You will be a crucial component in a small and effective team that collaborates closely with internal customers to determine the best API and backend systems that power our treatment. You will:
Design, develop, and operate backend systems and APIs that deliver digital treatment to thousands of patients and professionals
Join forces with other engineers, designers, and product owners to identify and solve challenging problems
Actively participate in evolving our technological platform to tackle the challenges of delivering a reliable and scalable treatment internationally
Work from our modern office in Malmö with great views of the city, only 400 meters from Malmö central station

REQUIREMENTS
You have 2+ years of professional software development experience
You are familiar with container-based cloud technologies
You thrive in an environment where you're allowed to experiment and iterate quickly
You have a deep understanding of system design, data structures and algorithms
You have a good understanding of relational databases
You take pride in your work and know what it means to ship high quality code
Experience with the Ruby language and ecosystem is a plus
You hold a permanent Swedish work permit.
