Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Do you like to get challenged by new situations and complex problems?

We see a future that consists of challenging transport solutions and a lot of interesting opportunities to create customer value by creative function development. Our goal is to keep our high quality as we strive to develop new functionality at a higher pace using agile methods. We develop embedded systems and functions with high impact on the driver experience, but our systems are also an important part of the future autonomous and electrified Scania vehicle.

We have new challenging projects coming up and need to strengthen our team with a new colleague, preferably a person with experience within SW development and/or SW testing.

What we do

We work both with in-house development of SW as well as supplier developed systems. SW-development is done in C or Simulink. We develop tests in python using automated test tools, but we also do a lot of tests in trucks and busses. You will work as a team with other colleagues in our group on all projects, but also have cross functional contacts within Scania. At Steering Controls we are responsible for the controls related to all actuators that makes the vehicle turn. This includes electrically assisted steering actuators and electrically steered tag axles.

Your profile

You are positive to taking on new assignments and feel challenged to resolve technical problems whenever they arise. You enjoy a work environment with a high degree of freedom and you take responsibility. You are a team player who enjoy group work and like to share your findings with colleagues. You value characteristics such as enthusiasm, curiosity and you are a fast learner. You are a hands on engineer, structured and communicative.

You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechatronics, computer science, electronics, machine technology or an equivalent/neighbouring area. You can communicate well in English both orally and in written form.

What we can offer you

As a Scania employee you are offered great professional development opportunities and benefits such as company car, mutual bonus, occupational pension, flexible working hours and much more. If you live in Stockholm, we offer a direct bus service between Stockholm City – Liljeholmen – Södertälje, Scania Job Express.
