Firmware Engineer to SKF Luleå

About the role
As a Firmware Engineer at SKF you will be part of the team that develop SKFs condition monitoring products. Our products fit into SKFs digitalization platform and you will be involved in the whole product lifecycle – from design, implementation and production to commercial deployment and maintenance.

In your role as Firmware Engineer your main tasks will include:
- Design, implement and maintain firmware for embedded systems.
- Contribute to and work with the overall firmware architecture alongside the team.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers and software engineers to ensure firmware compatibility.
- Adhere to and improve the development team´s Way of Working process.
- Travel may be required to support product development activities.

About you
We are looking for a candidate with university degree, preferable in computer science, electrical engineering or related field. You have experience working with development of embedded system and programming experience in C and/or C++. 

We see it as beneficial if you have a few years´ experience working with development of embedded systems, Digital signal processing, electric measurement techniques, embedded Linux and Yocto. If you are accustomed to working in Agile development teams or other roles in Agile development teams, such as Scrum Master or Product Owner, then that´s a plus.

Furthermore, we see that you like to work in a fast paced, innovative environment with focus on delivering high quality products. You are a communicative team player that is driven by the interaction of team members as well as stakeholders. You have high integrity and the ability to build relationships with people on all kind of levels in different organizations.
