Join a small, hungry company with a broad vision for creating digital solutions used by the golf industry.
We are located in Västervik.
Looking to add one or two developers, to cover both Front End and Back End web development.
Our most urgent need is for a developer with at least one year experience using React, preferably at least 3 years experience in web technologies.
Our senior software architect (from Silicon Valley in California) is looking to transfer knowledge and responsibility to a new generation of developers, and to strengthen our in-house expertise in developing modern web-based applications.

Mapping Industries does high-accuracy 3D mappings of infrastructure items (e.g. irrigation systems) and landscape areas (e.g. fairways). From this, a map of the site is constructed.
We then provide map-based software to help both with the day-to-day maintenance of the grounds (LiveGIS),
as well as for the golfers to aid their play and their coaching/training (LiveCaddie).
Our current web code base is primarily traditional HTML5/CSS/JS (front end) plus LAMP (backend).
Not using any major framework; just Bootstrap and jQuery.
We are looking to modernize in three ways.
1. React Javascript for Single-Page App and/or Multi-Page App, used by customers both on mobile and on office computers.
2. WordPress plus custom PHP plug-ins for the "customer information" websites.
3. Help us decide how to move our existing LAMP backend forward.
 All our products make heavy use of a MySQL database. Perhaps use a flexible PHP framework such as Laravel, to write DB access code more quickly.
 As we gain experience with React, consider whether to use Node.js to run React JS on back end also.
Ongoing projects:
* Using React Javascript, code an app that golf course greenskeepers will run both on mobile devices,
 and on a computer back in the office. The first version will be browser-based.
 If beneficial, a later version may use React Native to enhance the mobile experience.
* Work with a web designer to enhance the company's websites, that are moving from Wix to WordPress.
 We will also be offering our golf club customers customized WordPress websites for their own use.

 As a developer, you will extend the capabilities we can offer, by writing custom PHP plug-ins.
Back End:
Hosted at Amazon AWS.
PHP, MySQL, plus real-time communication with apps on iOS and Android. Prototyped in Docker containers on our developer pcs, with PhpStorm as IDE.
