Senior Embedded Developer

We create services and products for smarter, safer and more secure homes, serving customers throughout Northern Europe. In Verisure Innovation, over 450 engineers are working in our brand-new office space Malmö as well as in our Linköping offices, across hardware, embedded, networking, software development projects.

As Senior Embedded Developer, you will have the opportunity to design, develop, and debug embedded and server software together with a highly skilled and senior team.

You will work and interface various internal cross-functional teams and third-party OEMs.

The team is responsible for software development of the central unit installed in the customers' home and the back-end event-handling infrastructure.  The central unit is built by a mix of task-based real-time critical embedded system and a Linux based embedded system. The event-handling infrastructure is built around Java, MySql, Cassandra and RabbitMQ infrastructure.

What you bring

We are looking for you who have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as an engineer working with software engineering design principals and development.

You have experience in software development in Embedded Linux Environment, expert knowledge of C or Java and knowledge of structured design, embedded real-time systems, and hardware/software interfacing.

We expect you to have experience in agile methodology and be fluent in the English language.

Experience in Python, using Git for development; patch/tree management and Linux kernel debug tools and JTAG is seen as meritorious.
