You will also become Telenor’s representative in a European International Training Network called SEMANTIC. 

We are looking for a bright and driven person to become Telenor’s ESR within the European Commission SEMANTIC Research & Development project. You will work on data driven network control and automation algorithms and solutions research and development.

What you’ll do
In this role, you will perform research and development of algorithms and solutions on data driven network control and automation for network orchestration approaches for 5G networks and beyond during the 3 years (2020-2023) of duration of the SEMANTIC project. During this period, you will be part of Telenor’s Networks team. To join our team, we are looking for a curious and multi-skilled Early Stage Researcher who loves creating world class algorithms and solutions for data driven network control and automation processes. You are a passionate about driving your work from idea to execution and to optimization.  

Who are you
You are, at the time of recruitment, in the first four years of your research career and you do not have a doctoral degree. This is measured from the date when you obtained your degree, which formally entitles you to embark on a doctorate. Furthermore, you have not lived in Sweden for more than 12 months in the previous 36 months. If selected for the position, it is mandatory to be enrolled in a PhD at the recruiting country/city (i.e. Sweden).

To become our ESR, you are driving, curious and self-going. Team player. Proficient in English. You can acquire and work with large amount of data, even remotely (network KPIs, network performance data from probes, etc.) and compare it and analyze it considering what is available in the literature. You are knowledgeable and experienced with C/C++; Python; SQL; JAVA and Linux. You also have the fundamental notions on Radio, Ethernet, IP, and Wi-Fi telecom technologies. Your main tasks are programming, research (via internet), algorithm test and development and equipment configuration and testing in laboratory environment.
