The IT infrastructure department in Scania develops and delivers all necessary components and services in on-premises and cloud based infrastructure. The team is responsible for a big part of Scania’s Business critical compute workload on Operating Systems, Databases and Applications server technologies.
We are involved in the future of this strategic platform for Scania and drives the development and implementation of technical solutions. We have to define and deliver in close cooperation with our Base Infra colleagues and development teams, how Software Defined with mindset self-service, orchestration and 100% automation can be achieved.

Your profile
• Background in Red Hat Linux/Unix Administration, RHEL
• Strong proficiency in Oracle Database Administration
• Proficiency in Open Source databases
• A familiarity of code and script, Python and BASH
• Creating, understanding and troubleshooting SQL and PL/SQL
• Basic knowledge of networking and storage solutions
• Must be detail oriented & work well in a team environment
• Ability to solve complex technical problems

You will have the overall technical responsibility for all our Oracle and Open Source Platforms at the infrastructural and database administrator level and will secure the strategy, development and implementation of technical roadmaps, deployment process and quality of delivery. You will be part of how databases will be used and developed in cloud, on premises and in our edge environments.
You will work together with a cross-functional team of other experts, Service Owners and architects. As we have a focus to rapidly expand in cloud and Open Source solutions, you will be a key player in assessing new service options, design of new database services and migration opportunities.
