E-commerce meets social media - do you want to develop how the future integrates? About the role
At Flowbox there is currently 3 teams of 3-4 developers and they work in a cross functional manner. They need a skilled lead frontend developer to lead and hold together the frontend developer across the teams. You would also be responsible for the strategic work and map out the road ahead. Since they work cross functional, you will also be part of one of the development team and do all the day to day frontend development of that team. There is also a possibility of taking on the role as lead developer for the whole team, if that is something you fancy. The design is key at Flowbox so you will work with a really strong team of designers, developers and product specialists.
About you
To thrive in this role you probably have a passion for frontend development and enough experience to know what you’re talking about, but also know that no-one can know everything. Flowbox use React as a frontend framework so you should probably know that, or Vue or a modern version of Angular. And needless to say you know your fair bit of HTML and CSS as well. Since Flowbox’s run on AWS, it will make life easier if you are familiar with cloud solutions, preferably Amazons, but let’s not be picky. There is an opportunity to take a lead role over the whole team, and if that is something you could see your self doing you need to know backend logic as well. Preferably Python as that is Flowbox’s chosen language, but any backend should do. All extra experience is more than welcome, but if you know e-commerce, or has worked as a lead developer, it will give you an extra edge!
The team are a group of passionate and humble developers, that love to discuss ideas and the road that is ahead. So that should also be qualities that describe you, and being the team lead you probably need to be pragmatic and care about others. While at the same time be able to communicate in a clear manner and like to take your own initiative.
