This is a long term assignment and you will work as a consultant embedded in the team at our client’s office in Malmö, Hyllie.

As a Software developer with our client, you will work with one of the core features of their cloud offering namely the map platform. You will develop algorithms and applications, mainly for internal use, which improve the usability, feature set and speed of the map application.

You take responsibility in all parts of the development process when developing Spark and Hadoop based systems. You will work together with the most competent people in the field and together your aim is to improve the simplicity, scale and efficiency of the systems. This is an amazingly great chance for you who have a couple of years of work experience to get the chance to continue to grow, be innovative and take responsibility.

From a technical perspective, you should have following skills and experience:

* a number of years of work experience and strong skills in Scala programming (and/or Java)
* good skills in building applications using Apache Spark

It's great if you also have experience working with one of the following techniques:

* Kafka, NoSQL Databases, Akka, Spring, Big Data ETL and data streaming, and/or the ability to design and implement APIs and REST services
* GIS, Geographical Data and Toolkits such as JTS, ArcGIS, QGIS, OpenJump or similar
* fluent in English, both in writing and speech
