We are looking for a new member to our unit. Our role is to secure technology leadership in Radio Access Networks (RAN) by actively driving Standardization, New Concepts, SW- and HW Research, Architecture and Testbeds. Technical focus 2019 includes 5G evolution and Internet of Things (IoT) & New Industries, Automation, AI / Machine Learning and Security. The vacant role below is in the Concepts area and with focus on performance evaluations of future radio networks. Would you like to join us?

Purpose of Job Role
 
Ensure technology leadership and profitable business for Ericsson by:
•   contributing to Ericsson’s technology strategy
•   defining new radio network concepts, formulating recommendations for products, and protecting them with IPR
•   implementing and evaluating solutions for identified use cases and scenarios
•   supporting related activities (e.g. standardization and testbeds)
•   writing, visualizing and presenting results

Qualifications

•   MSc EE / Computer Science, PhD or equivalent
•   Knowledge of radio access networks e.g. experience from working with LTE and NR
•   Excellent depth in e.g. evaluations/simulations, network performance or data science
•   Industry understanding, ability to develop strategies and prioritize activities
•   Systemization and innovation skills
•   Experience from network products, customer relations and verticals (MBB, IoT etc) are considered valuable merits
•   Excellent networking, collaboration and communication skills
•   A natural driver, with high energy and motivation
•   Programming skills (e.g. Matlab, Java, Python)
