Back-end Developer

At Storytel we believe that powerful stories add an extra dimension to life. We offer hundreds of thousands of audiobooks and ebooks to customers in more than 20 markets, with several new markets launching in the coming year. Storytel is Northern Europe's largest audiobook streaming service and we are looking for talented and driven backend developers to join our team and help build a service that hundreds of thousands of people use every day to consume books.

As a developer at Storytel you will work with experienced developers across a wide field of technologies. Our team work with mobile apps development, backend development, Web development, DevOps and more. Our backend developers are focused on creating new services that are being run on Google Cloud Platform using Docker and Kubernetes. We use a variety of languages including Java, C#, Go, F# and more, and we feel that it gives us a clear advantage to be able to use the right tool for the job. We are now looking for a skilled C# developer to join our cross functional payments tech team, where you will be developing features in the areas of payment provider integrations and financial reporting.

We have development offices in Copenhagen, Karlstad, Lund, Stockholm and Umeå.

Expected experience and skills:

- At least 5 years of experience with C#.
- Relational databases and SQL
- Knowledge of automated testing principles and tooling
- You write code that is easy to understand and maintain
- Comfortable with written and spoken English

Desirable skills:

- Git and GitHub Flow
- Hands on experience with .NET Core
- Experience writing REST-ish APIs
- Docker / Kubernetes
- Service-based architectures
- Cloud - Google Cloud Platform, Azure, AWS or similar
- Messaging frameworks - Google Cloud Pubsub, Kafka or similar
- NoSQL databases - Google Cloud Datastore, Redis or similar
- Web frameworks - ASP.NET Core or similar
- Unix/Linux - Debian/Ubuntu, macOS or similar
