Senior Software Architect - Signal Processing

Your role

This is a great opportunity to be involved and shape the future in signal processing for our next generation weapon locating radar and to build knowledge at the leading edge of signal processing. The unit has cutting edge competence within the area and has research cooperation with universities.

In this position, you will belong to an agile cross-functional team that covers signal processing, development of new detection algorithms, SW development, test and verification. The team is responsible for taking ideas from start to finish and deploying in our testing facilities.

Your profile

For this position you have a relevant University degree, M.Sc./Ph.d. You have experience in signal processing and knowledge of statistical methods. In addition, if you have experience with radar systems it is meritorious.

A successful candidate will have a strong interest and some experience in some of these areas:

* Software architecture / Systems Design
* Signal processing with Model based deisgn
* Software development: Implementation of algorithms, Git, Linux, CI and unit testing
* Programming Languages: Matlab, Java, C/C++
* Communication skills: Data visualization, presentations, reports in written text

You are confident in presenting and communicating the result of your work. You like to work in teams and solving problems together on a grander scale. You see handling of new problems as a natural part of the job and you choose simple and effective solutions.

What you will be a part of

Surveillance business area provides effective solutions for monitoring, decision support and systems for detecting and protection against different types of threats. The product portfolio includes airborne, land-based and naval radar systems, communication intelligence, management systems and systems for naval and air traffic management.

The business unit Surface Radar Solutions is responsible for ground-based and naval radar systems. We are 430 employees, of whom 250 are in Gothenburg and the rest is placed in our sites in Syracuse, USA.

You will be part of the Signal and Data Processing section responsible for systems and software development at Surface Radar Engineering.

This position requires that you will be approved in a security screening in accordance with the Swedish Protective Security Act.
