Do you want to contribute to the most confident, energy efficient and rewarding Drive and Ride Experience you should join us at VEMC, Vehicle Energy and Motion Control Solution train. The aim is to control the vehicle in all six degrees of freedom, using input from multiple sensors to control actuators as propulsion, brakes, steering and chassis. Our skilled engineers balance attributes and functions on a complex vehicle architecture, and deliver features and innovations to support and enable propulsion system as BEV:s, PHEV:s or mild PHEV:s and connected and self-driven vehicles. 

What you’ll do 
We need to strengthen vehicle motion control team with software/functional developer. If that is you, you will have a unique opportunity to apply a broad spectrum of vehicle dynamics, mechatronics and programming.  

Vehicle State Estimation includes e.g. vehicle mass estimation, lateral and longitudinal speed estimation, road slope and road friction estimation. As a developer you need competence in vehicle dynamics and signal processing to understand and improve equations used for calculating different estimates. Vehicle state estimates are a vital part of the active safety and vehicle dynamics functionality in all Volvo cars.  
Roles have a task range from early design, implementation, and function testing both in simulation environments and in vehicles. 

Do you fit the profile? 
We seek those that are open minded. You are a good communicator and team player with ability to work with a broad network both internally and externally including different cultures. You have a technical and strong analytical capability, is structured and organized in daily work, business and performance driven with a solution focused mind-set. As you will be a team member having experience from working agile is an advantage. 
You have a BCs or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Automation and Control, Automotive or similar. You possess experience in control logics of complete functions and systems and vehicle dynamics. A valid Swedish driver’s license is a must, as well as knowledge in C programming and/or Matlab. Experience in all development phases from pre-program through launch is meritorious as well as experience of ISO2626-2.
