Active Safety and Autonomous Drive is one of the fastest growing departments at Volvo Cars, consisting of 400 enthusiastic engineer’s committed to developing autonomous vehicles. Our mission? We, at Active Safety & Autonomous Drive, Methods, Tools and Data, have the responsibility to develop and maintain our Data Toolchain that is an enabler for Data Driven Development. We collect and process huge amounts of data and our toolchain need to be effective, robust and user-centric. What you’ll do
We offer you to work in a small cross-functional agile team, with high focus on development of SW-tools and test frameworks. You will work closely with other teams as well as our suppliers. Together with your colleagues, you will further develop the Data Toolchain to enable Data Driven Development and Big Data concepts throughout our organization.

We know that you are a curious, problem-solving person with and a true team player mind-set who works effectively together with others to achieve results. You are social, open-minded and not afraid to challenge old truths. You are proactive and take initiative instead of waiting for instructions.
You are quality conscious and inspired by technical – and process related challenges.

You have a M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Software Engineering, Electronics, Physics or similar. To be successful in this job we believe that you probably have experience from SW product development and good knowledge of Python scripting, C/C++, Matlab, shell scripting or similar. You are familiar with concepts like Agile Ways of Working, Test Driven Development and Inner Source Development. You also enjoy supporting and educating others in using our data toolchain. You need to be fluent in the English language, spoken and written.
