Job description
Do you want to be a part of the development of digital solutions to end-users that makes reality of Internet of Things? Are you interested in working in a complex role with a broad range of contacts internally and externally, with a big responsibility? Then you may be the one that we are looking for!
We are now helping Husqvarna to hire a Service Architect to the department Digital Solutions R&D.
In the role as Service Architect you will be responsible for the architecture regarding a digital service and be involved in the whole life cycle of the service, in ideation and development of new features as well as maintaining and scaling existing functionality. Close collaboration with developers, UX design and QA is natural, but also collaboration with other squads, R&D and product managers.
You will be responsible for the technical part of a system containing cloud services, connected products with embedded software and applications on web and mobile devices. You will be part of the complete development process from requirement to user acceptance testing.
As a Service Architect you will define quality requirements together with the Service Owner and you will also define the architecture for the service. You will be in close collaboration with the squad that is devoted to your digital service, guiding and supporting them in following the architecture regarding design and implementation. In some cases when services use other services you will cooperate with other Service Architects and you will also be a part of the IoT Architect Team to define super-system architecture.
The department you will be a part of:
Digital Solutions R&D consist of 100 competent colleagues and everyone is specialized within their fields, like development, QA, architecture and cloud. The department is built on a strong culture that consists of team spirit and collaboration. Digital Solutions R&D is in a close cooperation with business product owners to create digital services to their end-users and two examples of those are:
- Automower Connect enables you to remotely steer and control your robotic lawnmower via a mobile app regardless of where you are in the world.
- Fleet Services is a cloud-based system that connects the machine fleet and landscaping teams to an on-line portal, enabling safer and more productive landscaping operations.
The department is the divided in Squads that consists of 3-19 people with different roles within development, QA, UX and a Squad Lead.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the technical part of a system containing cloud services, connected products with embedded software and applications on web and mobile devices. You will be part of the complete development process from requirement to user acceptance testing.
Qualifications
We believe that you are currently working as a software architect or a project manager in a product company and therefore have some or several of the following:
-Degree in computer science, software development or computer engineering
-At least 3 years’ experience from product development
-Enthusiasm for the Agile manifesto and how to integrate this into product development
-Background as a developer and still curious about coding
-Solid technical interest and good communication skills in English
Husqvarna Digital Solutions work in an agile environment and use Jira, Confluence and Stash (with Git).
