We are looking for several Software Application Developers on behalf of Jeppesen (a Boeing Company) in central Gothenburg. Jeppesen is one of the largest software development companies in the city. They develop innovative optimisation solutions for the world’s leading airlines. Dedicated to continuous improvement, Jeppesen deliver more value to their clients, and exploring emerging technologies such as quantum computing, AI and big data analytics.

The role
Jeppesen’s Customer Success Implementation (CSI) department is responsible for the configuration and delivery of Crew and Ops management products to airline customers. Their CSI department is now looking for Software Application Developers to join their CSI department. This is an opportunity to be part of a skilled team of implementation specialists who value diversity and solve some of the most challenging optimisation problems in the world. 
Your tasks will include: understanding the client’s needs, capturing requirements, configure the software, optimisation modelling/tuning, verifying, testing, integrating and continuously exploring how to improve and increase the value proposition to Jeppesen´s clients.
For these positions it is vital that you are passionate about learning the airline business and that you see yourself contributing to the team, workshops and communicating with different stakeholders as part of the requirements gathering and implementation process.
All positions will be based in Gothenburg and the candidates need to be able to travel to Jeppesen´s customers from time to time as part of the job, within Europe as well as to the US and Asia.
Preferred competencies
MSc or BSc in Computer Science / Physics Engineering /Industrial Engineering or equivalent Programming experience
Minimum 3-4 years experience in similar position or equivalent
Experienced with Unix / Linux environment
Ability to speak and write English fluently
Demonstrates strong communication skills
Valid Swedish work visa

Desired competencies
Python, Shell scripting, SQL, Web development, Java, functional programming
Experience from integration projects
Interaction design / UX competence (User Experience – Interaction design, Information architecture, User research, Task flows/Scenarios)
Experience working within a scrum team or in similar agile project setup such as SAFe
Airline Crew Management and Jeppesen Crew product customisation experience
Ability to speak additional languages fluently
