Platform Backend Developer

Hemnet has 3,1 million unique users every week. Our development teams deploy multiple releases per day. As a Platform Backend Developer you will be challenged to develop an application platform that delivers a state of the art user experience both to our users and developers. 

Your mission
You will be part of our Platform team. Our mission is to enable the product development teams to release and maintain their products by providing a powerful, approachable and stable application platform. 
The platform team consists of five developers working closely together with our Technical Director and Product Manager to develop and evolve our platform. The team is part of Hemnet's development department - divided into six development teams where the platform team is one of them. 
Some of the main responsibilities:
Develop and evolve our core API:s and components - making sure they fit current and future demands.
Tools for CI/CD, release pipeline and monitoring.
System security, performance, stability and data integrity.
External integrations to broker and payment systems.

We hope that you
Are a seasoned backend developer having practical experience and a genuine interest in test-driven development, dynamically typed languages (like Ruby, Python, JavaScript, etc.), API design, and/or modern statically-typed languages (like Rust, Go, Scala, etc.).
Have interest in software quality, best practices and clean code.
Believe in the value of automated testing and frequent releases.
Have experience of creating libraries and APIs for other developers to use.
Are a team player with a pragmatic and service oriented mindset.
Thrive in an open development culture where code reviews, pair programming and design discussions is a natural way to get feedback, learn and share knowledge.
