Job Summary

The Software Calibration Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer has the full responsibility for software within the global production. He/she manages and perform process and software documentation, verification and validations for the production as well as provides software engineering expertise, to ensure products are produced at optimum at all times and in order to secure customer satisfaction

Roles and Responsibilities

• Participate in product development projects together with e.g. R&D and actively contribute with production software calibration knowledge, from early phase to implementation
• Write software requirement specifications needed to manufacture products of highest quality, to be used by the software developer for both new and existing products
• Take ownership for data/information in, calibration software production system, including gather input, administer, maintain, approve, and develop
• Formulate and issue clear, concise and accurate, process and procedure instructions for the production operators, focusing on software
• Plan, define and implement new manufacturing systems as needed for new product introductions
• Support production and productivity with hands-on calibration and data collection as well as perform internal 
training as needed
• Take part in various projects within the Global Operations team to support e.g. automation of production 
processes
• Perform ad-hoc basic programming as required
• Deliver according to defined individual and departmental KPI ́s
• Provide input and recommendations for identify and select improvement projects as well as continuously 
work with improvements within own scope and area of responsibility, applying DBS tools (lean manufacturing principles) and philosophy

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor ́s (or higher) degree in engineering e.g. manufacturing,  software, computer science
• 3-5 year work experience from similar position within production
• Excellent knowledge of various manufacturing processes and calibration, preferably from an industry with high regulatory demands
• Very good knowledge of programming tools and languages such as e.g. C#, .NET
• Good knowledge from databases such as SQL
• Knowledge of PLC programming is seen as an advantage
• Knowledge of ISO 17025 is seen as an advantage
• International experience within a global matrix organization is desired
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written is a must
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office 
Driven, action-oriented with the ability to multi-task and effectively deliver results in a fast-paced environment as well as drive change. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

 

Other

• Temporary employment approximately 1 year, located in Billdal
• The position is part of the global Calibration Engineering Team, consisting of 8 members located in Billdal, 
Sweden and Cleveland, USA, everybody with their own expertise
