Today, we need a Web Merchandiser who will help us to achieve our goals.
You will define and communicate the strategic and economic Internet orientations for the next 2 years, in coherence with the overall strategy.
You will manage the commercial policy for both products and services on decathlon.se (offer, price, etc).
You will animate the on-line communication within Decathlon.se in order to increase its quality in our users’ eyes.
You will coordinate the proper functioning of my Back Office (IT, product information, logistics) in relation with HQ based services.
You will drive and develop the economic activity, you will able to report / debrief your actions and results.
As Web-merch Manager, you will have the responsibility of decathlon.se
We call this : Search, Choose and Buy.
In order to have a smooth-running website, you will be responsible for the commercial offer within the website. You will optimize :
- the homepage regarding the seasonality and our offer
- category pages so customers can easily find our products
- products pages so customers can easily buy our products
Most importantly, you will regularly update the website’s treemap in order that it follows Decathlon’s DNA and user’s behaviour, as well as monitor stock and prices online.
You will also optimize all pages in order that they become easily indexable by Google (SEO) and in order that they represent our vision of sport.
You will run AB Test to understand what works best on our website and you will optimize search results from our internal search engine. You will also use heatmap in order to understand better users’ behaviour.
Last but not least, you will pilote and analyze your business performance on a regular basis + take actions if needed.
traffic : if pages are well structure, it will appear better on Google !
turnover : if we attract more user, we expect to make more turnover !
conversion rate : if people can find our products more easily, CVR rate will increase !
Know how :
- global knowledge about internet, traffic management, Web-analysis
- you’re familiar with back-office tools
- you have already been working on tools such as AB-Tasty, Google Analytics, Screaming Frog ? It’s a big plus !

FYI, you will work besides a Social & Content Manager, a WebDesigner and a Traffic Manager who will help you. You will also be guided by the Ecommerce Manager in order for you to learn as much as you can.
