Senior Backend Developer/ CTO for Energy startup

We are Nils & Gustaf the founders of Renbloc, building the first solution in the market that traces and verifies your source of energy - from production to consumption. This way we offer consumers, like you and I, the ability to truly control what energy we use. We are currently looking for our senior backend developer to join our team as CTO.

Why is this important?
In a world where sustainability has become a universal goal for everybody from corporates to individuals, isn’t it strange that we do not yet know if we’re burning coal to light our homes? Especially since the energy sector is by far the largest force affecting our climate.

We are solving one of the most impactful and interesting challenges within energy sector - accountability for the energy source we consume. Whoever cracks this problem will set the verification and accountability standards within energy sector, not just for Sweden but for the Globe and that’s where Renbloc is headed.

Who are we looking for?
We are currently a team of 3 with strong background within energy and with solid experience within product and finance.

So, we are looking for an experienced backend developer to join us as CTO to take ownership of our product delivery pipeline. We would like you drive the architectural, design and stack decision-making and help us deliver Renbloc platform on time to our growing customer base. To be successful you will need to have that “puzzle solving” mindset; where you like to find the smartest architecture, bundled with the best release and most efficient devops management.
Reading this you may think that our definition of a CTO is leaning towards the back-end side and you’d be completely correct. However, the dev team will expand in the coming year and you will be the person we look to for building that perfect squad!

Skills & Requirements
Interest to joining an early-stage tech startup enduring all the fun and challenge of growing from scratch.
3+ years of solid software engineering experience preferably in the backend.
Our stack is: PHP Laravel, vue.js + node.js and AWS but we are open to any stack experience as long as you have delivered products over a deadline.
Analytical. Having background in statistics is a big plus but not mandatory.
Interest in algorithms and puzzles.
Curiosity about blockchain.
