The main focus at the Ericsson site in Karlskrona is to provide charging functions where our solutions are responsible for the charging almost 2 billion subscribers today. The site also has major responsibilities when it comes to setting up user and service data in the network, as well as providing solution for machine-to-machine communication and the emerging utility industry. The Karlskrona site has a very strong track-record of inventing solutions that becomes new profitable products on the market. A lot of attention is also put on innovation and exploring new technical possibilities.

To support Ericsson applications in a cloud native journey, Ericsson has developed what is called Application Development Platform (ADP). One key part is to drive alignment in the area of application management and operations. To achieve this, Ericsson has several ADP Hubs distributed globally where different teams produce microservices that is reused by Ericsson applications via ADP. In Karlskrona we are currently responsible for Log Management and Wide Column Database.
We are now looking for senior software developers to be part of the team for Wide Column Database (Cassandra based).
In this position you will engage and be part of a team that develop and maintain microservices that supports Ericsson products on a global scale.
Our development center is located in Karlskrona, Sweden.
Job description:
We are looking for you who want to be in the forefront of software development, where the latest technologies are adopted to ensure a cloud native approach. This by using and enhancing open source technologies and following principles of cloud native architectures.
Our ways of working are based on agile principles, where Continuous Integration and Automation are corner stones in our development methodology. You will be part of a team in a development organization that delivers software and support Ericsson on a global level where you will interact with peers in different parts of the world.
The daily tasks include working with requirement studies, planning, implementation, verification and support. You should be able to work individually on the different tasks, but in combination with team work and striving to reach the team targets together. Collaboration is a key factor.
Security is an everyday focus which is included for all developers, but we also have a specific Security Master role in combination with software development. This opportunity is also included as an option in this application. For that combination a genuine interest of all type of security aspects are needed, not only for secure coding, but for awareness of how the product works overall and together within our products. This role will include a responsibility within a team, to ensure security guidelines are understood and followed. Also reporting and assessment are included within this role.
You want to be the best in your area of expertise, but you are also curious to understand the big picture. You strive to meet targets and highest standards of quality and have the ability to analyze and solve problems.
Position Qualifications: 
We see that you have a Master´s or Bachelor´s Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science
Have at least 5 years of experience in software and product development
You shall have good knowledge and experience with NoSQL database
You shall have good knowledge and experience within Java and Python
You shall have good knowledge and experience of principles in cloud native architectures and its tools, Kubernetes, helm and docker
You shall have knowledge in Software development environment and tools like Eclipse, Git, Gerrit, Maven, Jenkins etc
You shall have knowledge in M2M communication such as REST and Web Services
We see that you have inter-personal skills, are flexible and willing to adapt and respond to change
We see you being creative and like to find new ideas and solutions and that you have a positive and inspiring approach and mind set in your everyday work
We work in a global environment which means that skills in oral and written English are a must
Any of the following is considered a merit:
Experience of Linux systems
Experience of cloud/virtualization/infrastructure/IP networks
Experience of working with open source communities
