Role Description

In this role as our new IT application developer you will work in close collaboration with various stakeholders inside as well as outside Volvo Group IT, delivering cutting edge services in line with the Volvo Group Strategy. Being a part of our team at Group IT gives you the opportunity to work with exciting techniques and development practices in a complex technical environment. You will be able to grow your competence both within IT and the automotive domain while contributing to the development of frameworks and ways of working.

Your main activities and responsibilities will be:
Full-stack development
Close collaboration with business stakeholders
Maintain and support application lifecycle

Who are you?

To be our new IT application developer, we believe you are someone with a passion for new technologies, innovation and IT solutions. We also believe that you have the ability to work under challenging and changing conditions and that as person you are innovative and self-driven. You have a strong technical focus in combination with a customer oriented attitude, you enjoy teamwork and you like taking responsibility for the results. We see that you have knowledge in the entire chain of software development, including analysis, unit testing and continuous integration. It is also important that you have the ability to establish and maintain good relations with your internal and external stakeholders.
 
To succeed in this role we believe that you have:
A university degree in Computer science or similar
Fluency in English and Swedish
Knowledge in the .NET platform - C#, SQL and ASP.NET, MVC and JavaScript (jQuery)
Skills in development for Cloud
Knowledge in Test automation and Test Driven Development
Experience from software development, agile development and continuous improvement
