Axis is looking for the right person to fill an open position
as a Product Imaging Engineer at the Fixed Domes Firmware department within our Research & Development (R&D) organization.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Axis’ overall goal is to further strengthen and develop the company’s position as the market-leading supplier of network video solutions. In order to do so we need enthusiastic and bright people.

At the moment we are looking for somebody to work with camera development and image tuning combined with general software engineering in the development of our Fixed Dome Cameras.

The Product Imaging Engineer role is very wide. It offers anything from development of embedded software that controls the image quality, hands-on work with early prototypes, Python script development, duct tape in image labs, filming at different locations, evaluation of sensors and optics, and development of innovative production methods. You will use your full toolbox of engineering skills, including applied physics, advanced mathematics, innovation and problem solving.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Optimization of image quality in a camera development project
* Inventing and developing advanced production methods
* Development and execution of image quality tests
* Acting as the project’s contact person when it comes to image quality
* Software design, programming and maintenance.

In the role as Product Imaging Engineer, you will play an important part in our development projects for new fixed dome cameras, from early product development to mass production.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We believe you have a genuine interest in technology, mathematics, programming and imaging. You have a Master of Science degree from Engineering Physics or similar and experience in SW development. You have newly graduated or have a couple of years of working experience.

We furthermore think you are a curious and result-oriented person that can work well on your own or in a team. You have very good communication skills in Swedish and English, both oral and in writing.

In addition to the above, we highly value experience from the following areas:

* Knowledge of image processing, e.g. filtering, colour reconstruction, scaling, binning, noise reduction, etc.
* Photography, optics, and image sensor technology (CMOS/CCD)
* Linux/C embedded systems programming
* Development of embedded systems, configuration management, GIT, etc.
* Low-level programming, kernel device drivers, debugging, etc.
* Python and MATLAB

THE FIXED DOME CAMERAS DEPARTMENT
The Fixed Dome Cameras department focus on development of new fixed dome camera products from idea to mass production. The typical team member has a master's degree in engineering and works in roles such as software engineer, electronics engineer, mechanical engineer, technical lead, imaging engineer, project manager or line manager. Our goal is to run highly efficient product development projects and deliver high quality products to the market to strengthen Axis' market leading position.
