What you will do 

You will work closely together with the members in the team, consisting of UX Designers and Front-End developers, to maintain and develop our common Design system, the portal for all things UX and UI related in Scania. The first version of it is in the process of being built and you will be a central part in that. Going forward, you will take part in evolving the Design system so that it encompasses as much as possible of the content and resources needed by designers and developers within Scania.

Your responsibilities includes:

• Take the main responsibility for the technical side of the Design system, including both development and communication.
• Build and maintain great relations with the users of the Design system, mainly other departments in Scania, and make sure that their requirements are met.
• Transform requirements from the teams UX Designers and other business units into IT solutions.

You will be part of a team, that is keen on learning, being productive, communicating efficiently and having fun! 
 

Your profile 

You preferably have an academic education in Computer Science or similar.  Work life experience of more than 5 years is required in Front-End. On top of that, you are a driving personality with a big interest in UX and web design, and have experience with:  

• HTML
• CSS, SCSS and/or LESS
• JavaScript, TypeScript, ES6
• Web components
• Bootstrap
• Version handling in GIT

If you also have experience with Angular 6+, React, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe XD or other wireframing tools, it would be considered a big plus. 

You should have a positive attitude and be able to cooperate with the team, but are also capable of working independently. Your ability to take responsibility and be organized is very important, and you must be proficient in written and spoken in English. As a person you have a proactive approach, excellent problem solving skills and you enjoy taking on new challenges and working with a focus on quality and targets. To be successful in this role you will also need good communication skills and feel comfortable working closely with several parties within the business.
