Area Architect Embedded Software

Transmode is expanding and we are looking for an experienced system developer who's ready to take a wider responsibility. This role as Area Architect will be located within our Embedded Software group and work across all of R&D and related department with Transmode's fiber optic products. At Transmode you will work with innovative and smart solutions to fulfill the needs of our customers.

The embedded software department is a team of talented, motivated and supportive system developers that enjoy working together.

Your job as an Area Architect is to take part in the entire development process, from pre-studies to delivery. You will be part of one of our cross-functional Scrum teams designing and developing new features as well as improving existing subsystems. Together with your team you will take overall responsibility for the team's deliveries.

The software is mostly developed in C with object-oriented design. For the user-interface we use a Web GUI that is implemented with javascript, HTML and uses a REST API written in C. We use Linux as OS both in our products and in our development environment.

Required skills & experience:
- Master of Science or similar technical education
- Experience and interest to work in an Agile environment
- Experience and interest in driving improvements for customer focus
- Experience from system management and product ownership
- Extensive experience and authority within software development
- You value learning and solving problems together with your team members
- Contribute to an constructive and open work climate
- Curious and want to learn about new technologies
- Ability to translate business needs to technical requirements and implementation
- Dedicated to reach deadlines with high quality

This position is located at Transmode System AB head-office in Årstadal, next to Marievik, Stockholm.
