Job Description
As a Data Scientist at Lindex you belong to the data science team rooted in the Customer Experience department. You play a crucial part in working with the growing need to understand our customers’ behavior. In most cases, your work consists of applying statistical learning and ML techniques to uncover data patterns and transforming your findings into actionable insights that will guide business stakeholders. In other cases, you build predictive models and work with data engineers to deploy algorithms that support business processes like marketing automation, personalized product recommendations and stock optimization.
We believe that you have the mindset of a generalist and that you will operate in all stages of the problem-solving process: Problem framing, Data wrangling, Data exploration, Modeling, Visualizing and explaining, and Deploying algorithms. We recognize the fact that it’s virtually impossible to be an expert in all areas, but we work as a team and we solve the problem.
Are you the one we are looking for?
• Relevant academic degree. Could be in data science, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or other quantitative field
• Experience from working with: R, Python, SQL, Snowflake, Spark, PowerBI or similar
• Swedish and English – both written and spoken
• Meritorious: Previous work experience as a data scientist
To succeed in this role, you have strong communication skills, are curious about where the data trail might lead, even when seemingly out of scope, and you drive the development of the data science field and your own skills.
