The Project Support and Administration Directorate at the European Spallation Source (ESS) in Lund, Sweden, invites applications for a Web Architect to the Information Technology Division. 

The ESS Web includes ESS Intranet and External web plus some microsites. This stretches all the way from the systems strategy to how the end-user interacts with the particular web service, and some of your work tasks will be: 

• Technology choices
• Information / data models
• Systems architecture
• Server configuration and maintenance
• Business analysis / functional requirements gathering
• Translation into technical requirements
• Prototyping to support technology selection
• Solution design and requirements specification
• Development / implementation
• Quality assurance
• Communication back to organisation
• Operation
• Support and maintenance

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in industrial engineering
• Experience developing web strategy and performing business analysis for the web
• Experience describing and implementing business and information systems architectures
• Experience in requirements specification for web projects and dealing with vendors
• Experience in designing and developing open-source software solutions, particularly employing Drupal
• Experience working in a research environment
• Experience working with intranets
• Certified Enterprise Architect
• Expert in the design and development of web-based information systems using open-sourcetoolsets, e.g. Drupal, Joomla and Wordpress (6 years experience).
• Working knowledge in HTML, CSS, PHP and MySQL.
• Excellent oral and written English skills are a prerequisite
