ATS Research is part of Scania’s research and predevelopment organisation working on sustainable transport solutions for the future. The work is done in close cooperation with Volkswagen group, leading technology suppliers and academic institutions. We take responsibility for creating a better and greener environment by finding answers to the questions on how we can achieve radically reduced emissions, manage the negative effects of ongoing urbanisation and save human lives in traffic.

We are currently investing heavily to push the boundaries of innovation and play a lead role in this ongoing industry transformation. We are looking for a number of development engineers, focusing on the next generation of autonomous vehicle solutions. Are you one of them?

Your work duties
As an R&D Engineer in our Autonomous Driving team, you will be working with a self-steered agile team of enthusiastic, multicultural, dedicated and highly competent people at the forefront of science and technology.

We are looking for exceptional algorithm developers with +3 years proffessional working experience and strong programming competence in C++/Linux/Python/Cuda/GPU in the following diverse areas:

• Computer Vision
• Artificial Intelligence
• Machine Learning
• Perception & Localization
• Situation Awareness
• Maps & photogrammetry
• Tactical Planning
• Motion Control

You will be part of one of the selected areas. The responsibilities include contributing to the design, implementation, and assessment of future frontier Autonomous concepts. Your work may have a huge impact in Scania’s future autonomous solutions.

Your profile
We like people who are team players with the ability to drive the technical development forward. You are appreciated for your ability to see the big picture, your theoretical knowledge, practical experience, ability to communicate and mostly for your willingness to share knowledge and experience.

You have a Master's and/or Ph.D. degree in any engineering discipline with an IT, Physics or Maths background (including Computer Science, Mechatronics, Robotics, Control Systems, Software, Embedded Systems or similar) and experience in robotics or autonomous or similar high-tech development projects.

Your curiosity and hunger for innovation constantly drives your willingness to develop and improve the environment you work in. That you, as an individual, have a drive to constantly develop and learn new technology is a prerequisite to fit in our team.
