What will you be doing?

Nasdaq is looking for a Java Developer to work within their data management team with their cloud-based data solution in the Nordics. In this job role you will design, develop, modify, adapt and implement solutions to information technology needs through new and existing applications to meet client requirements.

As part of the Senior Engineer team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality solutions using best practices within a strong Agile development team. The focus project will be to build a PoC for the nordic market, replacing the current reporting tool with a new high tech platform, where you will play a key role.

Who are they looking for?

If you have a strong Object-Oriented and core Java foundation, are detail-oriented, methodical, take pride in your work, and enjoy investigating new technologies, this job is the right one for you. Nasdaq is looking for someone who has several years of experience with software development; a solid knowledge of backend development in Java and some frontend experience using modern JavaScript frameworks. You should also have experience with cloud technologies with AWS as well as database expertise with SQL. It’s also good to have knowledge in Linux, Spring, Gitlab, web security, CI tools, drools, and testing frameworks.

To thrive in the role, you should have great communication skills, be curious and collaborative. You enjoy being in a fast-changing environment. Since the role is at a senior level, you have the ability to coach and act as a mentor to more junior engineers.
