About us
We are a new team of young people with high commitment and forward spirit.
Our mission is to develop and maintain a product to integrate applications on different runtime environments of the Vehicle Control Unit. The product will operate in a continuous integration context.
We are fully devoted to provide to all stakeholders deploying applications to the Vehicle Control Unit a fast feedback chain through a reliable and secure solution within Volvo Cars for increased innovation and speed.

We are now looking for an engineer with strong experience with software development. Capability of building a product, which runs a continuous integration chain supporting all software developers within the whole Volvo Cars.

From a tooling prospective, we use Jenkins, Git, Gerrit, Artifactory, Docker and custom Volvo Cars tools.

You and your skills
We believe you have good communication skills and ability to collaborate with different stakeholders. You enjoy great team play, are proactive, creative, driven, and willing to share knowledge and take responsibility. You are curious and like to solve problems. You are flexible and can handle multiple parallel tasks at the same time.

This assignment requires knowledge within:
* Python 3
* Linux competence
* Development in a CI system and software testing.

It’s also beneficial to be acquainted with C/C++ for a POSIX-like environment, Pytest, Ansible, Gitlab CI, shell scripting, CMake, GNU make, interfacing with REST APIs, Gerrit Code Review, Esxi (or other hypervisors), Gitlab.

Additional competence that is considered as meritorious is to have an understanding of Volvo Cars processes and tools, network experience (especially Ethernet), Test Frameworks (Robot Framework/vTest) and be able to work in an Agile Software Development ecosystem.
